📖 Today's Verse
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." — 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NIV)
✨ Devotional
Good morning and happy Monday! There’s a principle woven into the fabric of creation: you reap what you sow. A farmer who plants a handful of seeds gets a handful of harvest. A farmer who plants generously gets a generous harvest. The same is true in our lives — with our time, our resources, our love, our encouragement.
But notice what Paul emphasizes: it’s not just how much you give — it’s how you give. Not reluctantly. Not under pressure. But cheerfully — from a heart that genuinely wants to bless others because it has been blessed. God loves that kind of giving.
What can you sow generously this week? A kind word? An act of service? A financial gift? Your time? Start today. Sow generously, and trust God with the harvest.
🙏 A Prayer for Today
Lord, make me a generous sower this week. Help me to give cheerfully — of my time, my resources, and my love — trusting that You are the God of the harvest. Amen.
