Good morning! Lamentations is one of the most raw, honest books in the Bible — written in the aftermath of Jerusalem’s destruction, when everything had fallen apart. And yet, right in the middle of that grief, the writer pauses and declares something extraordinary: His compassions never fail. They are new every morning.

This morning is a new morning. Whatever yesterday held — whatever failures, disappointments, or heartaches — God’s compassions are fresh today. His mercies didn’t run out overnight. His faithfulness didn’t waver while you slept. You wake up to a God who is just as faithful, just as loving, just as present as He has ever been.

Great is His faithfulness. Not just in the good seasons — but in the hard ones too. Especially in the hard ones. Let that be the foundation of your Wednesday.

Lord, thank You for Your mercies that are new this morning. Whatever I’m carrying from yesterday, I lay it down. Your compassions never fail — and Your faithfulness is great. Help me to walk in that truth today. Amen.
