📖 Today's Verse
"He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'" — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
✨ Devotional
Good morning and happy Saturday! In a world that rewards busyness and celebrates hustle, God’s command feels almost countercultural: be still. Stop striving. Cease the noise. Quiet the inner chaos. And in that stillness — know that I am God.
The Hebrew word for “be still” here means to let go, to release, to stop fighting. It’s the posture of a person who has decided to trust — who has laid down the need to control and fix and figure everything out, and simply rested in the knowledge that God is God and He’s got it.
Saturday is a gift — a built-in invitation to slow down. Take it today. Find a quiet moment. Put down the to-do list. Sit with Him. Let the stillness remind you: He is God. He is exalted. He is in control. And you are held.
🙏 A Prayer for Today
Lord, I choose stillness today. I release my need to control, to strive, to figure it all out. You are God — and that is enough. Help me to rest in You today and to know, deep in my soul, that You are in control. Amen.
