Good morning! In a world that prizes self-promotion, self-sufficiency, and self-confidence, humility can feel like weakness. But Scripture consistently tells a different story: God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble (James 4:6). Humility isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.

To humble yourself before the Lord means to acknowledge the truth: He is God and you are not. It means releasing the need to be right, to be recognized, to be in control. It means coming to Him with open hands instead of clenched fists — saying, Lord, I need You. I can’t do this on my own.

And the promise that follows is stunning: He will lift you up. Not immediately, not always in the way we expect — but God honors humility. He elevates those who bow low before Him. Start your Wednesday in that posture. Kneel before Him, and watch what He does.
