Good morning and happy Saturday! Psalm 37:4 is one of the most quoted — and most misunderstood — verses in Scripture. Many read it as a formula: delight in God, get what you want. But that misses the beauty of what David is actually saying.

When you truly delight in the Lord — when He becomes your greatest joy, your deepest satisfaction, your first love — something remarkable happens: your desires begin to align with His. The things you want start to look more like the things He wants for you. Delight transforms desire.

So the promise isn’t “God will give you whatever you ask for.” It’s deeper than that: when your heart is fully His, what you desire and what He desires for you become the same thing. Delight in Him today — not as a strategy, but as a response to how good He is.

Lord, I want to delight in You today — not as a formula, but because You are truly good and worthy of my joy. Align my desires with Yours. I commit my way to You and trust You with the outcome. Amen.
