📖 Today's Verse
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." — Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
✨ Devotional
Good morning and happy Monday! Before GPS, before streetlights, before flashlights — travelers in the ancient world carried oil lamps. A lamp didn’t illuminate the whole road ahead. It gave just enough light for the next step. That’s exactly what the psalmist is describing: God’s Word as a lamp for your feet — not a floodlight for the whole journey, but enough light for right now.
We often want God to show us the full plan — the five-year roadmap, the guaranteed outcome, the complete picture. But He tends to lead us one step at a time, one day at a time. His Word gives us what we need for today: wisdom, direction, comfort, correction, hope.
Open the Word this morning. Let it light your next step. You don’t need to see the whole path — just the next step in front of you. That’s enough.
🙏 A Prayer for Today
Lord, thank You for Your Word — a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. I don’t need to see the whole road. Help me to trust You with the next step, and to find in Your Word all the light I need for today. Amen.
💡 Encouragement for Your Day
