📖 Today's Verse

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

✨ Devotional

Good morning! When asked which commandment was the greatest, Jesus didn’t hesitate. He gave two — and said everything else hangs on them. Love God. Love people. That’s the whole thing.

It’s deceptively simple. We can fill our lives with religious activity — church attendance, Bible reading, serving on committees — and still miss the point if love isn’t at the center. Jesus is saying: the measure of a faithful life isn’t how much you know or how much you do. It’s how well you love.

Who is your neighbor today? It might be the person next door, the coworker who frustrates you, the stranger you pass on the street, or the family member who’s hard to love. Love them — not because they deserve it, but because you’ve been loved first. That’s the overflow of a heart that loves God.

🙏 A Prayer for Today

Lord, help me to love You with everything I have today — and to let that love overflow to the people around me. Show me who my neighbor is, and give me the grace to love them well. Amen.
