Good morning! In our culture, wisdom is often associated with experience, education, or intelligence. But Scripture points to something deeper as the foundation of true wisdom: the fear of the Lord.

The “fear of the Lord” isn’t about being terrified of God — it’s about having a right understanding of who He is. It’s reverence, awe, and deep respect for the One who created everything and holds all things together. When we start there — when we acknowledge that He is God and we are not — wisdom begins to flow.

Every good decision, every act of discernment, every moment of clarity starts with this posture: Lord, You know more than I do. I trust You. That’s the beginning of wisdom — and it’s available to you this morning over your first cup of coffee.

Lord, I come to You in reverence and awe today. You are holy, You are wise, and Your ways are higher than mine. Give me wisdom for the decisions I face today. I trust You more than I trust my own understanding. Amen.
