Good morning and happy Sunday! Jesus doesn’t say you could be the light of the world, or that you should try to be. He says: you are. Present tense. Right now. As a follower of Christ, you carry His light into every room you enter, every conversation you have, every act of kindness you extend.

The question isn’t whether you have the light — it’s whether you’re letting it shine. A lamp under a bowl still has light. It’s just hidden. Jesus calls us to put our light on a stand — to live openly, generously, and authentically in a way that points people to the Father.

As you head into worship today and into the week ahead, ask yourself: where is God calling me to let my light shine? In my home? My workplace? My neighborhood? You are the light of the world. Don’t hide it.

Lord, thank You for placing Your light in me. Help me not to hide it out of fear or insecurity. Give me courage to let it shine — through my words, my actions, and my love for others — so that You get the glory. Amen.
