Bible Verse of the Day – July 11, 2026 | God Is Our Refuge & Strength

📖 Today's Verse

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea."Psalm 46:1-2 (NIV)

✨ Devotional

Good morning! Life can feel like the ground is shifting beneath our feet sometimes. Relationships change. Jobs end. Health fails. Plans fall apart. The world feels unstable and uncertain. And yet — this psalm was written for exactly those moments.

God is not a refuge we run to after the storm passes. He is our refuge in the storm. He is not a distant helper who shows up eventually — He is an ever-present help. Right here. Right now. In the middle of whatever you’re facing today.

The psalmist says “therefore we will not fear” — not because the circumstances aren’t scary, but because of who God is. When everything around you feels like it’s falling apart, He is the one thing that cannot be shaken. Run to Him this morning. He is your safe place.

🙏 A Prayer for Today

Lord, You are my refuge and my strength. When the world feels unstable, help me to run to You first. Thank You that You are always present, always near, always enough. I choose not to fear today because You are with me. Amen.
