Good morning! Every runner knows that you can’t run well when you’re weighed down. Extra weight slows you. Tangled feet trip you. The writer of Hebrews uses this image to describe our spiritual life — and the instruction is clear: throw it off and run.

What’s weighing you down today? Old guilt? A grudge you’ve been carrying? A habit that keeps pulling you back? Fear of the future? Whatever it is, it’s not meant to come with you on this race. You were designed to run free.

And here’s the key: fix your eyes on Jesus. Not on your failures. Not on the finish line. Not on what others are doing. On Him. When He’s your focus, everything else finds its proper place. Step into this week with your eyes up and your feet moving. The race is yours to run. 🏃

Lord, help me to lay down whatever is slowing me down today. I fix my eyes on You — the author and perfecter of my faith. Give me the strength and perseverance to run the race You’ve set before me. Amen.
