Good morning! Jesus doesn’t say you could be the light of the world, or that you should try to be. He says you are. That’s your identity. Light isn’t something you perform — it’s something you carry.

But light has to be uncovered to do its job. A lamp under a bowl helps no one. The question isn’t whether you have light — it’s whether you’re letting it shine. Sometimes fear dims our light. Sometimes busyness hides it. Sometimes we convince ourselves our little light doesn’t matter much.

It does. One candle can light a room. One kind word can change a day. One act of generosity can restore someone’s faith in humanity. You don’t have to be famous or powerful to shine — you just have to be present and willing. Go light up your corner of the world today. 💡

Lord, thank You for placing Your light in me. Help me not to hide it today out of fear or insecurity. Show me specific ways to let Your love shine through me — in my words, my actions, and my presence. Amen.
