Good morning! This verse is one of the most beloved in all of Scripture — and also one of the most misunderstood. It’s easy to read it as a transaction: delight in God, get what you want. But the promise runs much deeper than that.

When we truly delight in the Lord — when He becomes our greatest joy, our first love, our morning anchor — something beautiful happens. Our desires begin to align with His. The things we long for start to look more like the things He longs for us to have: peace, purpose, love, wholeness, a life that matters.

So the invitation this morning isn’t just to ask God for things. It’s to draw so close to Him that your heart starts to beat in rhythm with His. Start there. Let Him be your delight — and watch how everything else begins to fall into place.

Lord, be my greatest delight today. More than comfort, more than success, more than anything else — I want You. Shape my desires to match Yours, and lead me in the path of true joy. Amen.
