Notice what the Shepherd does: He makes us lie down. Sometimes we don’t choose rest — He leads us to it. He brings us to quiet waters, not raging rapids. He knows we need stillness to be restored. And then He refreshes our soul — not just our body, not just our schedule, but the deepest part of us.

If your soul feels depleted today, you don’t have to manufacture restoration. Just follow the Shepherd. He knows exactly where the still waters are. He’ll lead you there if you let Him.
