Good morning! Three short commands — rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances. Simple to read, challenging to live. Especially that last one: give thanks in all circumstances. Not just the good ones.

Notice it doesn’t say give thanks for all circumstances — it says give thanks in them. There’s a difference. We don’t have to be grateful for pain or loss. But we can find something to be grateful for even in the middle of it — God’s presence, His faithfulness, the people around us, the promise that He works all things together for good.

Gratitude is a practice. It rewires our perspective and anchors our hearts. Start small this morning — name three things you’re genuinely thankful for. Then watch how your whole outlook shifts.

Lord, I choose gratitude today. Thank You for [name three things]. Even in the hard things, I trust that You are at work. Fill me with Your joy and help me to pray continually throughout this day. Amen.
