Good morning! In the ancient world, a lamp didn’t illuminate the whole road ahead — it only lit the next few steps. That’s exactly what God’s Word does for us. It doesn’t always show us the full picture or the distant destination. But it gives us enough light for the next step.

Sometimes we want God to show us the whole map before we move. But faith doesn’t work that way. He gives us His Word — His promises, His wisdom, His character — and says: trust Me for the next step. That’s enough. That’s always been enough.

If you’re in a season where you can’t see far ahead, open the Word this morning. Let it light your next step. You don’t need to see the whole path — just the next faithful step forward.

Lord, Your Word is a lamp to my feet. When I can’t see the road ahead, help me to trust the light You’ve given me. Give me wisdom for today’s decisions and faith for tomorrow’s unknowns. Amen.
