Good morning! Notice the verse doesn’t say give thanks for all circumstances — it says give thanks in all circumstances. That’s an important distinction. We don’t have to be grateful for the hard things, but we can find something to be grateful for even in the middle of them.

Gratitude is a practice, not just a feeling. Some mornings it comes easily — the sun is shining, the coffee is perfect, and life feels good. Other mornings, gratitude takes a little more intention. It might be as simple as: I’m grateful I woke up. I’m grateful for this warm cup in my hands. I’m grateful that today is a new opportunity.

Start there. Let gratitude grow from the small things, and watch how it shifts your whole perspective on the day ahead.

Lord, open my eyes to the gifts You’ve placed in my life — big and small. Help me to carry a thankful heart through every moment of this day, even the hard ones. Thank You for Your goodness. Amen.
